Friendship of Sino-Australia|Australian Consulate-General Guangzhou Visiting Guanlan Original Printmaking Base
On June 28th, 2017, Ms. Fiona Cochaud, the Deputy Consul-General, Ms. Karin Maier, the Immigration Consul of Australian Consulate-General Guangzhou, have visited 3 Australian artists (Grace Myers, Damon Kowarsky and Jan Davis) in residency in the workshop, Guanlan Original Printmaking Base with the company of the director of the printmaking workshop, Mr. Guo Qingwen. Both sides have had a friendly exchange and the Consulate-General has given great recognition on the equipment and the operation of the Workshop and congratulated on the achievements the Base has made in printmaking art through all these years.

 Guanlan Original Printmaking Base has a strengthened connection with artists from several cities in Australia. It is believed that Australia is a country with diversities and inclusiveness in cultures, and it has great enthusiasm especially in exploring and having exchanges with Chinese culture and arts.

Having a deepened communication

The arrival of Australian Consulate-General Guangzhou (Fiona Cochaud and Karin Maier), and the three Australian artists in residency (Grace Myers, Jan Davis and Damon Kowarsky) has fully shown the charm of Chinese contemporary arts and it has deepened the communication in arts and the mutual understanding between China and Australia.
